SPRINGFIELD — The Missouri State University Breakfast with Champions series will continue with Dr. Bill Hettler, a physician who has been a driving force in health promotion and wellness for more than 20 years. Hettler will present his lecture, “Living the Good Life: Save Your Company Money with Employee Wellness” from 7:15-8:30 a.m. Jan. 30 at the University Plaza Hotel, John Q. Room.

The College of Business Administration is delighted to have Dr. Hettler, a nationally known expert in the area of employee wellness, participate in our Breakfast with Champions series,” said Dr. Ronald Bottin, dean of the College of Business Administration (COBA). “His insights, vision and experiences will be of extreme benefit to everyone.”

Hettler, director of University Health Services at University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, was instrumental in defining and defending the wellness concept as it emerged. In 1975, he co-founded the National Wellness Institute and guided it to the dominant position it holds today. Hettler has gained the attention of both business and health professionals with his unique theories of keeping healthy in a busy world.

The Breakfast with Champions series is sponsored by COBA, Springfield Business Journal and the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Registration is $15 and includes a buffet breakfast.
