The event will take place from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on the third floor of Plaster Student Union, and will include several training sessions designed to help educators incorporate technology into their curriculum. RCET-SW members may attend the sessions at no charge, and non-members may attend for a fee of $90, which includes all sessions and a lunch. Educators are encouraged to register at http://associations.missouristate.edu/rcet/index.htm. All sessions are free to Missouri State faculty and staff, but pre-registration is recommended and can be completed online at the ETC’s Web site, http://etc.missouristate.edu.
ETC Classroom Coordinator David Caravella said that though attendance in the training sessions is limited by space, the expo can easily support 600-700 attendees throughout the day.
“This event was created to facilitate a venue for these folks to preview the latest instructional technology,” Caravella said.
In addition to the expo and training sessions, pre-conference sessions will be available on March 6. These sessions are intended for RCET members, but organizers say extra slots may be open. Missouri State faculty and staff members interested in attending a pre-conference training session should contact Mike Garton at mikegarton@Missouristate.edu. Other educators should contact RCET-SW at (417) 523-5560.
