Breakfast with Champions to host ANPAC CEO

SPRINGFIELD – For its last event for the spring semester, the Breakfast with Champions program will welcome Greg Ostergren, chairman, president and CEO of American National Property and Casualty Insurance Companies (ANPAC). Ostergren will give his lecture, “Leading a Successful Acquisition,” from 7:30-9 a.m. April 17 in the Illinois Room of the University Plaza Hotel.

Ostergren joined the Springfield-based company in 1990 and led the 2001 acquisition of Farm Family Insurance Group, which was noted by some insurance industry analysts as one of the most successful acquisitions on Wall Street in the past five years. With 29 years of experience, Ostergren is recognized as a leader and high-level strategist in the insurance industry.

 “We are truly honored to have Greg Ostergren participate in our Breakfast with Champions Series,” said Dr. Ronald Bottin, dean of the College of Business Administration (COBA). “Greg is an outstanding CEO with extensive experience in the insurance industry. He will provide valuable leadership insights for all who attend his sessions.”
