Risk management expert to speak at Breakfast with Champions

SPRINGFIELD – The Breakfast with Champions series will continue Feb. 26 with a lecture by Janice Ochenkowski, managing director of global risk management for Jones Lang LaSalle, the world’s leading real estate services and money management firm. Ochenkowski will present “Preparing for a Catastrophe: Business Continuity Planning” from 7:30- 9 a.m. in the University Plaza Convention Center Iowa Room.

Ochenkowski is a recognized expert in the area of real estate risk management. She directs an international team of insurance and claim experts in their work to assess risks of existing businesses and new opportunities. During her three-day visit to Springfield, Ochenkowski will also speak with Missouri State University students in the insurance and risk management program as part of the Management Development Institute and the finance and general business department’s Risk Manager in Residence program.

“We are extremely pleased that Janice Ochenkowski has accepted our invitation to participate in the program,” said Dr. Ronald Bottin, dean of Missouri State’s College of Business Administration (COBA). “Her background and professional experience will be of great benefit to our students and faculty.”
